The Connecticut Historical Society Offers a Discussion on Witches
October's the most creep-style month of the year. Two events at the Connecticut Historical Society seem apropo: "Should Connecticut Apologize for Hanging Witches?" (Oct. 4), a discussion featuring CT state historian Walt Woodward, Stanley-Whitman House exec. director Lisa Johnson and author Richard G. Tomlinson, who wrote a book about the topic; and "Behind-the-Scenes Tours Get Creepy!" (Oct. 12), a hellish descent into the bowels of the CHS to see what evil lurks within (including this corpse "presentation box," pictured). Head to the CHS website (chs.org) for event details, and get ready to get spooked.
