Studying the music of the Beatles (pictured) in an academic setting is nothing new — the era of the serious rock analysis and criticism seems to have been launched by their stateside arrival in the early 1960s. For a taste of lofty moptop speak, head to the Hartford Public Libary on Tuesday evening for The Beatles: Band of the Sixties, an engaging 90-minute lecture/discussion by musician and teacher Aaron Krerowicz, who'll start with the Hamburg days and take you all the way through Side Two of Abbey Road (album cover pictured above), playing clips and showing videos along the way.
