Connecticut Flower and Garden Show (Promotional Photo / February 18, 2013) |
If you're feeling fed up with winter this weekend, head to the Connecticut Convention Center, where more than an acre of its space will be covered wtih gardens designed by landscape professionals. The Connecticut Flower and Garden Show offers spring-seekers a chance to stroll through aisles of fresh flowers and plants, gardening equipment, seeds and fertilizers (hold your nose in that aisle) as well as more than 80 hours of gardening seminars to pop into. Show organizer Kristie Gonsalves (pictured) has been tending the grass of more than 20 gardens for months. Perhaps you'll channel some of her greenhouse mojo into the rest of your February.
