Westport pulls out all the stops this New Year's Eve with many different forms of entertainment offered, all centered around Main Street in downtown. There will be square dancing and caricature drawing in the TD Bank lobby, and Irish dancing and gospel music at Christ and Holy Trinity Church. Leslie Orofino will sing cabaret at the Westport Public Library's McManus Room, and there'll be horse-drawn carriage rides down Main Street from 4 to 8 p.m. Children's events will dominate the Westport Weston Y, with an Ultra Violet Puppets show (pictured), a magic show, face painting and a toy train set display with Dennis the Train Man. Mark Naftalin will play the blues on his piano at the Westport Historical Society and the Westport Town Hall will host a live Bollywood show, a hands-on drumming session, palm readers, psychics and tarot readers. And there is much, much more.
