Winter Creature Cruises at The Maritime Aquarium in Norwalk
Just because it's cold outside doesn't mean you can't cruise. Bundle up and head down to the Maritime Aquarium to venture out into the soon-to-be-icy waters of Long Island Sound on the Oceanic research vessel in search of wildlife, the cutest of which are the seals: both harbor seals and gray seals. It's a two-and-a-half hour cruise, and educators will talk about the seals' history and anatomy while you're out there. With such a close proximity to New York City, it's easy to forget the Long Island Sound contains some real-deal sea creatures. The cruises continue every other weekend through the winter.
