Westport resident Tracy Sugarman (pictured, in WWII) made a name for himself as an illustrator. But now he's written his debut novel, Nobody Said Amen. It's about two families of different ethnic backgrounds that must endure social upheaval in Mississippi in the 1960s, and it's based on Sugarman's own experiences in the civil rights movement. He'll be at the Westport Library Saturday afternoon to discuss.
