Philip Johnson built his architecturally-stunning Glass House in 1949 in New Canaan for himself to live in. Johnson died in 2005 at the ripe age of 98, and now visitors can see the grounds he spent so many years enjoying. The Westport Arts Center will be hosting a detailed, in-depth, two-hour tour on Wednesday morning, the same day that New York artist Alex Schweder beings his ten-day residency on the grounds living in a portable accommodation (which combines a van, a scissor lift and an inflatable room).
