Author and Undercover FBI Agent Vito Colucci, Jr. Speaks at The Ferguson Library in Stamford on Feb. 20
In the 1970s, Vito Colucci, Jr. was a young police officer in Stamford who decided to do something about the organized-crime-induced corruption he saw lurking in the underbelly of his hometown. He went undercover with the FBI, wearing a wire to uncover evidence, and he was almost killed for it. He co-wrote a book called Rogue Town that documents the period from 1965 to 1985 when the city was at its worst, and he'll speak about it Wednesday at the Ferguson Library — now that the heat has died down.
