Freetime: Professional Bull Riding in Hartford

Maybe you like bull riding, or perhaps you just enjoy watching rodeo clowns get stomped. If you’ve been stuck in the northeast your whole life, chances are you haven’t even seen a bull-riding competition before. Now’s your chance: Hartford’s XL Center is hosting the Built Ford Tough Series, which features the top 40 bull riders in the world against the best bred bulls in the country. Be ready for some intense action, because this sport explodes in eight-second bursts, with plenty of fireworks and rock music for good measure. You can catch the rodeo at three different times: Friday at 8 p.m.; Saturday at 7:50 p.m.; and Sunday at 2 p.m..
