Navaratri is a sacred time of the year for Hindu people, one that occurs four times annually, with this festival celebrating the most important of them all, Sharana Navaratri. At Wesleyan University’s 35th annual Navaratri Festival, you can get your fill of traditional Indian music and dance, with performances by vocalist B. Balasubrahmaniyan, vocalist/guitarist Stan Scott and the Rangila Ensemble, singer T.M. Krishna (pictured) and dancer Rama Vaidyanathan, as well as plenty of educational talks and opportunities to meet interesting folks.
