Free coffee! Yes, it's true. While we all know that the price of making coffee at home and slugging it to work with us is much cheaper than paying someone else to make it and hand it to you in a paper cup, we Americans love our coffee too much to wisen up. Make up for it on Nov. 14 by visiting any Bruegger's Bagels location before 2 p.m. for a free coffee.
But, there's a catch. Bruegger's hosts its National Free Coffee Day hoping to coax caffeine-seeking customers through its doors to also make a donation to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. Your donation doesn't have to be big. Some spare change will do. Or, you know, give as much as you want. It's for the kids. Sick ones at that.
Some Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in our area include Connecticut Children's Medical Center in Hartford, Maria Fareri Children's Hospital at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, N.Y., Bay State Children's Hospital in Springfield, Mass., Boston Children's Hospital in Boston, Children's Hospital at Albany Medical Center in Albany, N.Y., and Hasbro Children's Hospital in Providence, R.I. Go on, tweak out. For the kids.
