Santas and friend. (LSG Original / December 3, 2012) |
Dress up as Santa (or your favorite holiday character, decoration or mechanical device) and do your best to keep up with Lisa Sanchez Gonzalez (aka LSG, aka Miss Candy Cane, esteemed Local Band Review blogger and party maven) as she traipses around Hartford dressed as Santa searching for music, drinks and cheer. It's the third annual installment of Hartford's SantaCon, a pub crawl for charity that LSG brought to Hartford three years ago after attending the New Haven version.
Hartford's crawl begins at Black-eyed Sally's at 2 p.m., where Jennifer Hill performs, followed Tommy Lourdes at McKinnon's Irish Pub (3:30 p.m.), Vivienne LaFlamme at the Russian Lady (5 p.m.), and further stops with the Hybryd at Black Bear Saloon (6:30 p.m.) and Up or On the Rocks, where Joey Batts & Them and Shag Frenzy will perform (8 p.m.).
We don't think you can keep up with her (especially if you're dressed up like the Heatmiser), but it's worth a shot. All proceeds go to Mayor Mike's Foundation and Hartford's Interval House.
Here's our slideshow from last year's event. And go here for more information.
3rd Annual SantaCon Hartford, Dec. 8, begins at 2 p.m., $20 suggested donation, various locations around Hartford, santacon.info.
