Fashionista: Todd Lyon and Nancy Shea. (May 7, 2012) |
1) Fashionista Vintage & Variety
Whether you're looking for new clothes for everyday use or are trying to win a costume contest, Fashionista has you covered. Literally. Owners Todd Lyon and Nancy Shea take great delights in finding the absolute best, most interesting, quirky duds, which you can either buy or rent. Among the dresses, hats, tuxedo vests, utility gear (probably sporting the word "balls" written in sharpie) and mascot costumes are the ugliest Christmas sweaters around. Some are as the knitting machine made them, others have been embellished with lights or turned into a masterpiece of good and dirty fun. For summer, this is the spot to pick up a vintage swim suit. "Our store is more like a reality TV show than a store. We have the biggest cast of characters you'd believe," says Todd Lyon. "Even the postal guy who comes in," Nancy adds. "He's a nut."
