1) Pam Giordano, Century 21
Pam Giordano makes quite the first impression. Just for this interview, she showed up impeccably organized and prepared, with a sheaf of recommendations and press clippings articulating, point by point, exactly what makes her an excellent realtor. Her passion for the work is evident. "I think you have to love your job," she says. When she started as a realtor -- she's been licensed since 1986 -- "no two days were alike. You have to wear 10 or 20 different hats. You have to give up a lot the first few years, because it's commission only," but she stuck with the real estate game long enough to rise to the top of her profession, succeeding even in the lean years of the recent real estate market. Says Giordano, "One thing Century 21 feels is, in this market you have to be faster, bolder, smarter. Century 21 has one of the best systems."
