Connex Credit Union: Amy Stanton and Dana Clark. (May 4, 2012) |
1) Connex Credit Union
Connex, the nonprofit, cooperative credit union, takes a needs-based approach to serving the community. And it shows. According to Assistant Vice President of Marketing Amy Stanton, "It was a good year for credit unions." She's especially excited because that means consumers are "understanding the difference, and understanding that they have a choice for financial services." Connex is "open to the community," says Stanton, and "there's no secret to joining." That means anyone can sign up for Connex's many member services. The credit union helps members improve their existing finances and make better financial choices. It offers home mortgages and a savings analysis. There's also a menu of services targeted to young adults and singles, covering everything from student loans to 401K plans to first-time mortgages.
