This downtown staple calls visitors to Yale University their bread-and-butter clientele. They've held the Best Hotel title for a few years in a row and, this year, they've refreshed their rooms with a new color palate of soothing browns, grays and blues. The 14-year-old hotel features a classic New England feel with a hint of modernity, according to Jill Flynn and Josh Heidenreich. At 22,000 square feet, they are the largest full-service hotel in New Haven and offer over 300 rooms plus conference spaces. This summer, they will launch a high-end coffee shop in the lobby that will feature Starbucks products. They pride themselves on providing whatever it is that their clients would like, from extra pillows and blankets, to a view of Yale or the Sound to complimentary beverages brought to your room.
