1) Thai Taste
Walk past the glossy Study boutique hotel and the Yale School of Art on Chapel Street, and you'll find three Thai restaurants, all within spitting distance of each other. But Thai Taste is perhaps the most obscure of all of them. Tucked in the basement of the Duncan Hotel, the interior of Thai Taste feels like much of the Duncan itself – unchanged by time. Vinyl covered booths and dim lighting make the mood romantic, in that just-right almost-kitschy-but-not kind of way. The service is attentive but never intrusive, and the menu offers a variety of options for vegetarians and omnivors alike. Be sure to try the sticky rice.
