Carmen Anthony: Walid Gad and Scott Scalabrino. (April 30, 2012) |

Making a great steak isn't rocket science, according to Scott Scalabrino, General Manager of the New Haven location of Carmen Anthony. "If you buy the right steaks and the right quality and you prepare them right, you can't screw them up," he says. Add a little bit of spice and toss them on the grill, and then it's just a matter of timing to ensure a quality meal. "We have a grill. Most places have a flat top but we have an actual grill, which makes a big difference," adds Executive Chef Walid Gad. They've got many choices of cuts, including filets, strips, porterhouses, bone-in cowboy steaks and prime rib. "Our prime rib is outstanding," says Scalabrino. "We've got good food, good quality and good service. We wrap it all into one package and make it an experience for somebody."
