1) R.J. Julia Booksellers
It's difficult to make a quick stop in R.J. Julia. It's a book-lovers bookstore, so the experience of shopping there goes far beyond simply stopping in to grab the latest bestseller off the shelf. "My favorite thing to do is to put a book into someone's hands and have them be so excited about it, and then they come back and say, 'I loved that book, can you recommend another one?'" says store manager Lori Fazio. Each section of the store has its own buyer who uses their refined tastes to supply the true bookavores out there with what they crave. "We are dedicated to bringing the writer to the reader," says Fazio. "We have over 300 events a year, so we have celebrities, well-known authors, debut authors, writers workshops, kids programs, and we really enjoy it. We love what we do."rjjulia.com
