Everything they say about breakfast is true. Most important meal of the day. All that. You might think breakfast is one of those great things that it’s hard to mess up, but that doesn’t mean that it’s easy to excel at. A.C. Petersen does all of the standard favorites, says waitress Jette Fischer. “We have everything – eggs, pancakes, French toast, sausage, bacon, ham,” says Fischer. She says there are always breakfast specials as well. Fellow waitress Alli Denton suggests that AC Petersen may have an advantage over other places because they serve breakfast all day. That means they can accommodate the early birds who are there waiting at the door in the morning 15 minutes before the place opens -- for real. “Some of them I can almost set my clock by,” says Fischer. “We have one particular lady, she comes every morning. We don’t open until 7, but she’s there every morning at 6:45 and I let her in. We try to take care of them.” And it’s also the place for the late-night crowd who might grab ice cream and coffee and then decide to switch it up with some bacon and eggs. That’s a different crowd from the early-risers, but there’s nothing like scrambled eggs to unite the generations.
