Darts is one of the classic barroom games, but in order to play properly, you've got to have the right equipment and a thoughtful setup. In Fairfield County, Bradford's in Stamford has got just that. “Downstairs I have two mechanical boards, upstairs I have two mechanical boards and two steel tip boards,” says owner Tony Desjardin Sr. “People come to hang out, drink beer, eat wings and play darts.” They've got other games too. Besides darts there's Buck Hunter, Golden Tee, video bowling and shuffleboard. And one of Bradford's abundant happy hours (drink specials, food specials and 50 cent wings) would be an ideal time to let loose and play: Every weeknight from 4-8 p.m. (except for Thursday, when it's 4 p.m.-closing), and then all day both Saturday and Sunday.
