What's the biggest misconception about sports bars?
People think that the only reason to come is to watch spots, when actually it's just a great place to meet and have appetizers and drinks. I have regulars who come in when there aren't any games on. You don't have to be into sports to go to sports bars.
What's your busiest day or night of the year?
March Madness is the busiest and it lasts usually the entire weekend. It's physically exhausting but it's fun and it gives me a chance to meet new people who could become potential regulars.
Are there drinks or beers that you recommend with certain flavors of wings?
People don't necessarily drink beer with wings; margaritas are popular, Long Island ice teas are popular and so are mojitos. People drink anything and everything with wings.
What is the most awful music you have to listen to over and over again as a bartender?
I like when people play the jukebox because it's a good change-up. When the jukebox isn't playing, there is a station on and it plays all top-40 music and it's very repetitive.
