Worst fake-I.D. attempt to get into a bar?
There was a girl who came in with one of her friends and she acted so depressed. I'm not sure if she was legitimately crying or just laying it on thick. When she handed me her I.D. I noticed the photo looked nothing like her. The woman in the photos was well over 200 pounds and she was barely 120. She tried explaining that her boyfriend and her just broke up and she had been crying all day and that's why she didn't look like herself.
Best drinking nights?
Traditionally, Wednesdays are college nights. However, Friday happy hour has taken off and Monday nights, which I work, are turning out to be a great night for me. I think Monday-night football and the fact that other area establishments are closed Monday helps our business. We tend to get a late-night crowd.
Are you more likely to see students buying professors drinks or professors buying students drinks?
I've been bartending in Middletown for a few years now. I have seen groups of students come in with a professor. But I haven't seen one student with their professor alone. They usually have separate checks too. They are all pretty proper, I haven't encountered anything crazy or out of line.
