What makes a bar successful?
Teamwork, everyone working together and bringing something different to the table, like knowledge, speed, creativity, a big personality. Also having a passionate and driven leader as a manager.
The most underrated ingredient or garnish for a cocktail?
The edible orchid alone turns a drink into something that's in a whole other league. Having fresh fruit, like blackberries, pineapple and kiwi, can really sell a drink. We come in two hours before we open to get everything prepped and ready because we literally have a produce section at the bar.
What's the most exotic drink you make?
We actually have a lot of exotic drinks. The Midnight Mojito has blackberry rum and blackberries muddled into it. Our Rooftop Long Island is made with coconut rum instead of regular white rum and pineapple juice instead of coke. The watermelon martini is our own infused watermelon vodka with liquor and a slice of watermelon. I actually heard someone on their phone talking about this drink.
