Juice, such as cranberry and pineapple. Right now, fruit drinks such as Flirtinis or Caribbean Cosmos are very popular.
Ever serve anyone famous?
Chris Berman. He's a big-time NFL announcer. I served him a couple Diet Cokes at the last bar I worked at. Although just last month, Sarah Jessica Parker was on her way here. This place was slammed and when she got here she panicked and decided not to come. Unfortunately we missed out on that one.
Has the bar scene been affected by the economy?
Yes, it has. More people come in on $5 martini night than any other night and order martinis. I've noticed that people are staying closer to home rather than traveling a ways to go out for drinks and dinner.
What do you enjoy most about bartending?
In college I liked to entertain. It's always for everyone else's benefit. I enjoy the social environment and making sure everyone is having fun.
