Are people easing up on the partying after the holidays? Is drinking less, one of people's resolutions?
I think people are drinking at a different pace. It's a hangover phase rather than a partying phase. People will be back drinking in another week. Remember there's not much to do in the winter and people want to keep warm.
Do people drink more liquor when the weather gets frigid like this?
Yes. People tend to drink more reds, more whiskeys. We offer both wine flights and whiskey flights. For the amount of space we have a great selection of artisan whiskeys. We have Asyla, Orgengerie, Hedonism and Peat Monster.
Can you drink cocktails in the theater?
Yes, you can order whatever drink you want and bring it in. We try to hit every flavor profile as far as cocktails go. I think people will be pretty impressed. We also tried to emphasis movies and their themes in our cocktails. We have a "Pleasantville" martini, a "Clockwork Orange" an "LA Confidential." Movie fanatics notice this and appreciate it.
Best hangover bloody Mary?
The Desperado 7; we make it with jalapeno tequila, our homemade bloody Mary mix and a sriracha/blue cheese-stuffed olive. It's a medium-body bloody Mary that's zesty and savory.
