What's the most awful music you have to listen to over and over again as a bartender?
It's the early '90s girl music being played by big, tall men. We have a jukebox here and these strong burly men play chick music, which is very confusing to me.
What do you do when people ask you to put more booze in their drinks?
They don't. My drinks are strong enough. I have a heavy hand, which is my dirty, nasty habit.
How often do you see trends in drinks change?
Well, martinis have changed. You can throw anything in a martini glass nowadays and call it a martini. And everyone's drinking them. I do still make the same drinks I made 11 years ago, so I don't really see any major trends.
Do you find your patrons are more responsible now versus 11 years ago?
Around the holidays I tend to get more designated drivers, especially among younger people, which I didn't find 11 years ago. So I think younger drinkers are more responsible.
