Welcome to the jungle, the urban jungle that is, with Tom Ryan's exhibition Urban Jungle on display July 28-Sept. 29, at Sprit Gallery Tattoo in New London. Ryan, born and currently living in Connecticut, graduated from Paier College of Art with a degree in illustration. His work, a progression of simple line drawings to vivid full colored paintings, features graffiti-like creatures set against spray-painted and digitally made backgrounds; the perfect fit for display at a well-known Connecticut tattoo shop and art gallery. The opening reception will be July 28 from 6-9 p.m.
