New London's Provenance Center hosts a new exhibit opening this week of works by New York City-based artists who were born in Italy: Antonio Pio Saracino, Andrea Bianconi, Borinquen Gallo, Verdiana Patacchini, Paolo Pelosini and Allessandro Del Pero. The artists have used a variety of media to show their traditional Italian roots and heritage alongside contemporary issues. Included in the show is the three by 20-foot piece by Borinquen Gallo, called Stitched Bridge, made of rags, paper and wire. The opening reception goes down Sat., April 6 at 7 p.m.
