The John Slade Ely House plays host to an annual juried exhibition this month that is older than the house itself. The Elizabethan-style house, which is now used as an art gallery, was built in 1905. The 112th Annual Juried Art Exhibition of the New Haven Paint and Clay Club, up through April 14, was started in 1900. The artists exhibited here are competing for $4,000 in prizes.
