'Ruins of a Holy Land' at RSM Art Gallery in Madison

Once upon a time, Waterbury was home to Holy Land USA, a religious tourist attraction that sits atop what we in Connecticut would generally consider a mountain. Closed to the public since 1984, the Bible-based park has since deteriorated quite a bit. Photographer Joy Bush has captured the current scene, and her photos are on display as Ruins of a Holy Land at the Mary C. Daly, RSM Art Gallery at the Mercy Center at Madison. This exhibit is in its last days, ending on March 9. All photos are available for sale, with part of the proceeds going to benefit the Mercy Center.
