Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts Hosting a Student Art Competition

It's not enough to just foster arts programming in schools. When our children take an interest or show a talent in the arts, their love and talent must also be fostered with care, opportunity and experience. The Shoreline Arts Alliance has hosted a juried comeptition and exhibition of student art for 30 years, and this year's exhibit opens Feb. 21 at the Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts, in the Sill House Gallery. Students either living or attending high school in shoreline towns (Branford, Chester, Clinton, Deep River, Durham, East Haven, East Lyme, Essex, Guilford, Haddam, Killingworth, Lyme, Madison, Middlefield, North Branford, Old Lyme, Old Saybrook, Salem and Westbrook) are eligible to compete for thousands of dollars in prizes, and the recognition a budding artist thrives on.
