Giampietro Gallery unveils two new exhibitions this week, Quarry works by Jonathan Waters, and Alone Together by Karen Dow. Dow, whose painting Hook is pictured above, begins her paintings with a basic grid and lets the painting come together. "In the end, I want the work to be an ongoing dialog that takes me somewhere I never knew I was headed," she says about her process. Waters' and Dow's shows will be on view through Feb. 23 with a reception on Feb. 1 from 5-8 p.m., and an artist talk on Feb. 16 from 1:30-4 p.m.
