A Joint Exhibition at New Haven's Creative Arts Workshop

Creative Arts Workshop in New Haven unveiled a joint exhibition last week, featuring the works of two local artists, the late Deirdre Schiffer and Dorothy Powers. A Retrospective features Schiffer's paintings, drawings and works on paper highlighting her career up until her death in 2011. Powers, a current CAW faculty member, displays The Women, which explores gender issues by depicting women wearing burkas. Both exhibits run through Feb. 8.
