Bring the kids down to New Haven Museum on Sun., Jan. 6 for a program for the entire family. You'll learn how much information you can get out of a painting, just by looking closely at it. The painting in question is the recently acquired View of New Haven from Fair Haven Heights, painted by Leopold Schierholz in 1860. Captain Tommy Seda, who loves sailing tall ships, will help kids and adults alike learn about the ships in the painting, after which the kids will make and decorate a wooden sailboat of their own.
