'Artificial Wilderness' Photography Exhibition at the Wadsworth Resonates Far and Wide
The photographer Edward Burtynsky demands your full attention. The only way to give him his due is to see his work exactly as it appears in "Artificial Wilderness," an exhibition on view through Jan. 4, 2014, at the Wadsworth Atheneum. Though 13 other artists are featured in "Artificial Wilderness" — the first collection-based photography exhibition at the Wadsworth in 10 years — Burtynsky's three dramatically large prints stop you in your tracks and make everything around them, including other photographs the same size, shrink just a bit.
