The late artist Stephen Brown, who was a member of the painting faculty at the Hartford Art School, painted dozens of portraits in his time, including his own (pictured). More than 100 paintings and drawings by Brown hang in the Joseloff Gallery starting on Tuesday, and seven of his original works, including five oil paintings, one pastel drawing and one pencil drawing, will be auctioned off at the opening gala on Sept. 6.
