4th Annual Bridgeport Art Trail (Promotional Photo / November 5, 2012) |
There's no better way to gauge the current art scene in a city than by going into the belly of the beast, the artists' studios, and seeing what's up firsthand. All weekend, Bridgeport is opening up its many galleries, lofts and art spaces to the public to let us have a glimpse of what they've been working on. Spaces like the American Fabrics Building, the Reads ArtSpace, the (new) NEST Arts Factory, 305 Knowlton Street and City Lights Gallery are among the participants. If you're feeling lazy, there's a guided bus tour on Saturday, Nov. 10 at 10 a.m. that will bring you to all of them along with a stop for breakfast and lunch for $50.
4th Annual Bridgeport Art Trail
Guides available at City Lights Gallery, 37 Markle Court, Bridgeport. Thu.-Sat., Nov. 8-11. (203) 334-7748, bridgeport-art-trail.org.
