Most artists are content to work within two dimensions. But not Manhattan artist Susan Crawford. She uses multiple planes to encourage color and form to spill off the canvas, and right into the viewer's eyeballs. Her exhibit The Lure of Travel: Moments of Noticing is currently on exhibit at the Geary Gallery in Darien, and she has drawn inspiration from her travels to places like Hong Kong, South Africa, Italy, Australia, Botswana, Malta and Hawaii when choosing her subjects.
