Food is the best. Smelling it, tasting it, digesting it — some of the purest pleasures of life. The newest exhibit at the Westport Arts Center is called Foodies, and it's a group show honoring this favorite pastime of every living being. Works will be juried by notable local foodies like Michel Nischan, chef and owner of the Dressing Room, Bill Taibe, chef and owner of Le Farm and the Whelk, Pat Callaghan, President of Pepperidge Farm and Stew Leonard Jr., President of the sprawling maze of culinary goodness that is Stew Leonard's. Stop by for the opening reception Friday night and graze on a spread catered by Du Soleil, Saugatuck Craft Butchery, Sugar and Olives and Saugatuck Grain and Grape. Warning: This exhibit will make you hungry.
