The two heads involved in UConn Stamford Art Gallery's new show Two Heads Are Better Than One are those of artists Elizabeth Nagle and Mary Elizabeth Peterson. The pieces range from finished large canvases back to the irreverent sketches and collages from which the ideas originated. Some hybrid materials included in the works include woven plastic grass seed bags, millinery ribbons and flattened, rusty bottle caps. The resulting forms may not seem quite right or logical, and they defy expectation.
