The sun is a mass of incandescent gas. And it also happens to be really beautiful when you can actually look at it without burning out your retinas. The Sun As Art opens Friday at the Discovery Museum with a presentation by David Mestre, Manager of Space Science Education, a viewing of "Journey to the Stars," solar scope viewings of the sun (if the weather holds out). Oh, and refreshments too. The show itself contains many hi-res, full color images of our closest and favorite star.
