William Wegman, famous for his dog pictures, is an artist who often travels without leaving his home. In William Wegman: The Traveler, opening at the Westport Arts Center Gallery this Friday, a colorful blend of his drawings, Polaroids, postcard paintings and videos will be on display that were created during a period spanning from the mid-1980s until now. He took found objects, like said postcards, and combined them to make collages that make for a more interesting and whimsical world of imagined travel adventure.
