Westport artist Alberta Cifolelli has long been identified with the Women's Movement, and throughout her long career she's hosted more than 50 solo shows featuring her paintings, prints, drawings and pastels. The latest such exhibition is currently on display at the Westport Library's Great Hall and Cifolelli will be on hand Friday night for a reception. Most of her subjects are flowers and landscapes, which she considers to be metaphorical and often biographical. Pictured is a piece called "The Sentinels IX."
Westport Public Library, 20 Jesup Road, Westport. Through March 26. Reception: Fri., Jan. 11, 6-7:30 p.m. Free. (203) 291-4818, westportlibrary.org.
