For the past couple weeks, we’ve been hearing about a potential bacon shortage caused by global warming. Luckily, this week brings the positive news that the bacon shortage may have been overblown. Baconologist Chris Hurt explains to ABC News:
"It seems alarmist," said Purdue University economist Christ Hurt, in response to the prediction that pork prices would double by the end of next year.
While Hurt says pork prices might increase only 4 or 5 percent, though he notes"that the drought has caused feed prices to go up sharply."
I for one am not surprised at this news. It's all part of Obama and the liberal media's plan to make everyone eat kale burgers and quinoa. Why didn’t Jim Lehrer bring this topic up at last night’s debates? Who are you protecting, Lehrer?!?
