The More You Hate Your Job, the More You Hate Mondays
A new Gallup poll reveals some intriguing facts about Americans and their relationship with their careers. Namely, 4 out of 5 people hate their job:

Research shows approximately 80 percent of Americans were either ‘not engaged’ and have no emotional connection to their workplaces.

Even more interestingly, your feelings about Mondays likely reflect your feelings about your job in general:

Engaged workers “feel nearly as good on the weekdays as they do on weekend.” Their overall demeanor at work is also more upbeat, as many respondents who identified as “engaged” were just as likely to report smiling and happiness on a Monday as they would during the weekend.

So when your co-worker posts "ughh, Mondays" on Facebook, what they're really saying is, "I fucking hate this job." I've been blessed enough to have a job that I love doing, one that inspires me to get out of bed on Monday mornings. I'm referring of course to my gig as a part-time BDSM dungeon slave, which I do on Monday nights. The only bad part is I have to get through my day job at CT.com first. God, let this HTML coding be over with so I can strap on my assless chaps and do what I was born to do.
