Seattle's Cool New Megachurch is Turning Hipsters Into Housewives

Hipsters are known for their snarky, cynical nature, so it was a pretty big surprise to find out about Mars Hill, the megachurch that has become popular with a young, hipsterish crowd. Mars Hill is forward-thinking in many regards; members smoke, practice yoga and talk openly about sex. The church is also active in social media. They have a YouTube page and an iPhone app, and Pastor Mark Driscoll’s podcast gets thousands of downloads. However, the church is also very conservative in some regards. It’s a strange dichotomy.
