Girl Who Was Voted Homecoming Queen "As a Joke" Receives Outpouring of Support Online

Social media has made bullying a lot easier for high school students. At the same time, it’s exposed the bullies while providing a network of support for the victims. Case in point, Whitney Kropp of West Branch, Michigan. Kropp was the victim of bullying when classmates voted her homecoming queen as a joke. It was heartbreaking for Kropp, that is until someone in the community created a Facebook page to show support. The page has thousands of likes and has led to offers from local businesses.
