The Olde School Age of Three: A Jazz Saloon Celebrates

Two Boots in Bridgeport had its fifth anniversary party the other day.  This Saturday it’s Olde School Saloon and Bistro in New Haven that’s celebrating. The restaurant’s turning three, and has become a much-needed and supremely comfortable outpost for the city’s jazz community. So it’s natural that the birthday party includes back-to-back-to-back live bands. The Feb. 9 festivities kick off at 5 p.m. with alternating sets from Olde Saloon houseband guitarists Tony Dioguardi and Brandt Taylor, following by the great all-around guitarist George Baker and final set by the soulful Slammin’ Band.
