Somehow, an office discussion of bacon led to the discovery of these statistics on national pork consumption. And I'm sorry to report that our nation is tragically deep down the list in eating pig.

An even stranger aspect to this area of intellectual curiosity is the list of other topics of interest to people looking up pork consumption statistics. Take a look:

- Struck by thrown, projected or falling object

- Happiness level > Very happy
- Cannabis use

Clearly, if you're interested in pork consumption, it makes sense you'd also be curious about "happiness level > very happy."
